چکیده
Direct-fired supercritical CO2 power cycles, operating on natural gas or syngas, have been proposed as future energy technologies with 100 % carbon capture at a price competitive existing fossil fuel technologies. Likewise, blue green hydrogen may be used for generation to counter the intermittency of renewable In this work, ignition delay times (IDTs) were measured in high concentration bath over 1050 – 1300 K and pressures between 20 40 bar. Measured datasets compared chemical kinetic simulations using AramcoMech 2.0 University Sheffield (UoS sCO2 2.0) mechanisms. The UoS mechanism was recently developed model IDTs methane, hydrogen, syngas gas. Sensitivity analyses identify important reactions illustrate trends observed among various datasets. performance both mechanisms evaluated quantitatively by comparing average absolute error predicted experimental IDTs, which showed superior modelling importance OH time-histories is identified most appropriate next step further validation mechanism.

Experimental Study of Performance of Spark Ignition Engine with Gasoline and Natural Gas
The tests were carried out with the spark timing adjusted to the maximum brake torquetiming in various equivalence ratios and engine speeds for gasoline and natural gas operations. In thiswork, the lower heating value of gasoline is about 13.6% higher than that of natural gas. Based on theexperimental results, the natural gas operation causes an increase of about 6.2% brake special fuelconsumpt...
متن کاملEffect of CO2 Concentration in Injecting Gas on Minimum Miscibility Pressure: Compositional Model and Experimental Study
For technical and economic success of miscible gas injection projects, an accurate laboratory measurement of Minimum Miscibility Pressure (MMP) at reservoir conditions is essential. On the other hand, compositional reservoir simulator is a useful tool in gas injection studies and prediction of MMP. The main goal of this paper is to describe a procedure to generate a three phase sequential t...
متن کاملExperimental Study of Hydrogen Addition Impact on Emissions and Performance of a Natural Gas Fueled Engine
Hydrogen is seen as one of the important energy carriers of the future with potential to reduce local as well as global warming. The main by-product of the combustion of hydrogen in air is water vapor and trace quantities of oxides of nitrogen. An experiment was conducted to study the impact of hydrogen/natural gas blends on performance, thermodynamic efficiency and exhaust gas emissions in ...
متن کاملAn Experimental Study of CO2-low Salinity Water Alternating Gas Injection in Sandstone Heavy Oil Reservoirs
Several studies have shown that oil recovery significantly increased by low salinity water flooding (LSWF) in sandstones. However, mechanism of oil recovery improvement is still controversial. CO2 that develops buffer in presence of water is expected as a deterrent factor in LSWF efficiency based on mechanism of IFT reduction due to pH uprising. No bright evidence in literature suppo...
متن کاملShrinkage Curve: Experimental Study and Modelling
In order to study the shrinkage process of clayey soil, we perform a modified laboratory test allowing to measure simultaneously and continuously the vertical displacement and the weight of natural state specimen. The experiment was conducted on undisturbed clayey specimen. Using the experimental results, and on the basis of the existing relation between the soil water content and its structura...
